Well, it’s not every day you get a letter published in The Guardian The very idea that a win on a day, like a cup final or a medieval battle at Bannockburn, resolves complex issues needs to be full-on refuted. Secondly, the very idea that creating more borders on this small archipelago of islands is a) a remedy for Brexit or b) might work well (how well did and does the border on the island of Ireland work?) needs to be full-on refuted. It’s truly astonishing to me that the SNP thrives on running its grievance agenda instead of putting its shoulder to the wheel of finding a devolution settlement that works for the British Isles. “Independence” indeed!
